There are many types and brands of dermal fillers that can be injected into your lips and other areas of your face. The most common are products that contain hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body and this can be used to improve the appearance of your lips by adding shape, volume, structure, and correct asymmetry.

The duration of results typically lasts around six to nine months. results can last different lengths of time on different people, factors that influence this include age, lifestyle choices, sun exposure, and genetics. To maintain results repeat treatments will be required.

In Julia Hart Skin Clinic all our lip fillers are administered by senior registered nurses who are very experienced in this procedure.

What to Expect During the Procedure

After a thorough consultation which will take into account your desired outcomes, your medical history, any medications your are on or any factors which may impact on your health or results , we will ask your to sign a consent form. Any service not offering this should be a red flag warning!

Next several images will be taken, these are requires by insurance companies in case of a complaint, again any service not taking photos should raise questions in your mind as to their attitude to your safety.

Before the injections, a topical or local numbing agent may be applied to ease any discomfort. We also offer dental (nerve) block injections, these can be given before the treatment to completely numb the lips.  This is not suitable for every client and will be discussed at consultation.

After carefully marking the areas to be injected, very fine needles are used to inject the substance into your lips. We offer a number of techniques at Julia Hart Skin Clinic and these will be discussed during your consultation.

Following injection, lips are massages a post procedure care applied. Post procedure photos are taken and after care explained.
