We are delighted to be able to offer our clients is a great treatment. Using two products either Desoface or Desobody we can treat localised fat deposits, this includes fatty collections under the chin, knees, hips, thighs, and abdomen.
Sometimes no matter how much diet and exercise we do we are left with a little area of our body which we still struggle to reshape and lose stubborn pockets of fat, depending on your body shape this can be in the lower half or the upper half of the body.
This procedure is an excellent alternative to having traditional surgical liposuction. The procedure takes about 30 minutes, a local anaesthetic is administered and a cannula is inserted into the fat deposit via the skin.
There is very little discomfort with the majority of clients reporting very little or no pain.
The most commonly treated areas are the thighs, bottom, stomach, saddlebags, back fat, and double chin.
However, it can be used whenever stubborn fat is a problem including the arms, knees, face, man boobs, eyebags, and lipomatous (fatty lumps within the skin).
It involves injecting a fat digesting enzyme into pockets of fat. This enzyme is a naturally occurring chemical. Once injected into the body it works by locking onto the fat cell walls, breaking them down to release fatty acids.
The fat cells are permanently destroyed meaning that the results are permanent. However clients are advised to maintain a healthy life style and exercise in order to prevent new fat production.
Results can be greatly improved by wearing good quality compression garments for a few weeks post procedure and simple home care such as body brush and can encourage lymphatic drainage.

Ultrasound and radio frequency cavitation combined with Desotherapy ((fat dissolving injections) can significantly increase the result. Radiotherapy can cause tightening of the skin and the cavitation can assist in the removal of fat stubborn fat.
Following treatment, there will be some transient redness, swelling, and tenderness which may last for a few days but are often described as mild to moderate and not interfering with normal daily activities. Occasionally there may be some bruising which may last for a week or longer.
Pain, numbness, tingling, hypersensitivity, or altered sensations can occur if the injection damages a nerve, this is rare and recovers in all cases.
Due to the action of fat dissolving injections and ultrasound cavitation, it takes time for the fact to be eliminated from the body and although some results may appear in the first few days it is normal that the final results cannot be seen until six weeks post-treatment.
After treatment, it is not recommended to spend time in the Sun or use sunbeds. Although exercise is in courage to help the final results, vigorous and demanding physical activity should be avoided for four weeks.
We strongly recommend the use of compression garments following the treatment and the practitioner will be able to advise you on suitable products during your consultation
The practitioner will describe and discuss in detail the procedure including possible benefits and risks and answer any specific questions you may have. The practitioner will advise on what the expected outcome is likely to be in their professional opinion. However, results cannot be guaranteed and mild to moderate improvements may often be achieved.
If you are unfamiliar with any of the terms used or do not understand then ask for further explanation from the practitioner. You can take home a copy of the consent form, pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions to further research and consider the treatment and to discuss with third parties if you wish before deciding on the treatment.
It is important to avoid anti-inflammatory medications (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or diclofenac) for at least 5 days before treatment unless this is prescribed for a medical indication and this should be discussed with your practitioner at Julia Hart Skin Clinic. If you are taking any other blood-thinning agents, this should be specified on your medical history form. Similarly, avoid alcohol for 48 hours before treatment as this increases the risk of bruising and bleeding. Arnica may be taken 5 days before treatment to lessen the risk of bruising.
At Julia Hart Skin Clinic, we recommend the usage of compression garments post-treatment to enhance results and help to reduce any after-effects. Macom® compression garments provide the optimal solution and there are many garments available depending on the area to be treated which can be pre-ordered for your size and indications. They can be ordered directly from Macom® and if you need any assistance on what you should order, you can discuss this with your practitioner before treatment.
Appropriate clothing should be worn on the day of treatment to allow modest access to the area and not to be too restrictive or cause discomfort.
You may not be suitable for treatment if you have any of the following:
Pregnancy/Breastfeeding
