What are Polynucleotides?
The revolutionary ingredient transforming aesthetics. These bioactive molecules, derived from DNA, are at the forefront of cutting-edge aesthetic technology, renowned for their exceptional ability to rejuvenate and repair the skin.
- Deep Hydration:Polynucleotides attract and retain moisture, ensuring long-lasting hydration and plumpness, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Enhanced Skin Repair:Stimulate the skin’s natural healing processes, accelerating the repair of damaged skin tissue and promoting smoother, healthier skin.
- Boosted Collagen Production: Encourage the synthesis of collagen and elastin, essential proteins that maintain skin structure and firmness, leading to improved skin tone and elasticity.
Benefits of Microneedling
Microneedling is most commonly used to treat the following skin conditions:
Dull skin: Rejuvenate tired and dull skin and combat the initial signs of ageing.
Wrinkles: Fine lines and wrinkles on the face can be visibly reduced, as microneedling triggers collagen production.
Scarring: Scars from acne and chicken pox can be improved and an uneven texture can be smoothed out with microneedling.
Pigmentation: Can help to fade dark patches such as pigmentation due to sun damage or ageing.
Microneedling is a great treatment for you if you have darker skin because it doesn’t involve peels or lasers, which can cause pigmentation issues. Treatments can be performed on the body as well as the face, prices below are based on an area the size of the face.
Your microneedling consultation: what to expect?
Your microneedling consultation will be with a senior practitioner for rejuvenation or with a nurse or doctor for acne scarring and more advanced microneedling. The practitioner will assess your condition and determine the most appropriate form of treatment. During your consultation they will be able to answer any questions you may have about your skin condition and give you personalised advice. If they decide your skin condition can be treated, they will be able to carry out the procedure in-clinic.
Types of microneedling treatments
Microneedling pen revitalise and rejuvenate: This uses an electronic mechanism with a short needle to target just the top layers of the skin, giving a rejuvenating effect. The reduced intensity of this treatment causes less downtime than a deeper treatment, whilst still achieving a youthful complexion.
Microneedling pen: This is a unique electronic mechanism which allows your practitioner to control treatment intensity to best suit your needs. A solution is also applied to the skin, containing hyaluronic acid, minerals, vitamins and peptides, which stimulates cell proliferation and so reduces the skin’s contours and improves elasticity. The microneedling pen treatment is targeted and ideal for clients who have localised areas of concern.
Dermaroller: This is a titanium device that is rolled over the skin to create thousands of tiny contact points. This causes the body to create a wound healing process for rejuvenated, smoother and younger looking skin. Dermaroller is good for clients who need a large area treated..
Before your microneedling treatment you should avoid the use of self tanning products for up to 48 hours, and avoid sun exposure and the use of skin products that contain vitamin A or retinol for 24 hours.
The results of microneedling are not permanent, and you will require treatment on a regular basis in order to maximise and maintain these.
A topical numbing cream is applied to the area before carrying out microneedling treatments to ensure that any pain is minimised. Variable treatment intensities allow us to further control the comfort of the treatment, and no topical anaesthetic is needed for Microneedling Pen Revitalise & Rejuvenate as the treatment isn’t deep enough to cause any discomfort.
Microneedling treatment uses small needles to create tiny punctures in the skin, which then triggers a wound healing response that renews the skin cells. As part of this, collagen and elastin are produced and give an almost immediate plumping effect.
You will see a plumping effect almost immediately, however the natural healing process takes time, so it can take up to six weeks before you see significant results.
Following microneedling treatment, the collagen and elastin triggering process will continue over the following months and several treatments are usually required to achieve the best results.
Your practitioner will discuss your individual treatment needs with you at your consultation, including the expected number of treatments and treatment intervals depending on your type of skin damage. A course of treatment will give the best results.
Microneedling can help improve the appearance of a variety of skin conditions, including scars from acne.
Microneedling can rejuvenate tired and dull skin and combat the initial signs of ageing, as well as visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles on the face as it triggers collagen production.
